Nutrition/ Dietary Requirements

My Wellness has what you need to suit your dietary needs.

Gluten Free

Gluten is a protein that is found in wheat, rye, barlie, and triticale. A gluten free diet is an eating plan that excludes food groups that contain gluten.
A gluten free diet is essential for managing the symptoms of coeliac disease and other medical conditions that are associated with gluten. This diet has also been popular in the past year even to those who haven't been diagnosed with a medical condition. The claimed benefits are improved health, weight loss, and increased energy.

Vegan

A vegan diet exclusively contains plants and foods made from plants. Vegans do not consume products that come from animals, that includes dairy products and eggs.

Vegetarian

The vegetarian diet avoids eating meat, fish and poultry. It may also include abstaining from by-products of animal slaughter. Vegetarians adopt this diet for religious or personal reasons as well as ethical issues.

Paleo

A paleo diet limits foods that in the past can be obtained by hunting and gathering. It typically includes fish, lean meats, fruits, vegetables, and legumes, and grains.

Keto

A keto or ketogenic diet is a high fat, very low carb diet. It involves dramatically reducing intake of carbohydrates and replacing it with fat. This process puts your body in ketosis, a metabolic state. During ketosis, the body becomes efficient at burning fat for energy.

Dairy Free

Basically, a dairy free diet means being free from lactose. Lactose is found in foods like milk and dairy. It is a sugar that is in milk. Some people do not digest lactose because they don't have lactose, the enzyme that breaks it down.

Nut Free

A nut free diet involves the avoidance of:

  • Almonds
  • Brazil nuts
  • Cashews
  • Hazelnuts
  • Macadamia nuts
  • Pecans
  • Pistachios
  • Walnuts
  • A nut allergy to one tree nut does not mean an allergy to all of the above, however.

    No Sugar

The no sugar, also known as a sugar-free diet, involves reducing or completely removing simple carbs and added sugar from your diet. Reducing sugar intake can promote weight loss and decrease the possibility of getting diseases such as diabetes. It is highly recommended to replace foods that have sugar with healthier options to get all the essential nutrients.
